Well, more like light brown rubber bracelets hot off the boat from China. I got the second batch of bracelets last week so I would have some for the big Chris Ball golf outing! I assume most of you that are checking this out today were at the outing and picked up some sweet new swag! Sweet new swag of course meaning a light brown rubber bracelet hot off the boat from China!

Those of you who might not have been at the outing and not know what I am talking about, Chris Ball is the Superhero that I mentioned in a previous post. My most sincere thank you to you and all the great people around for everything Chris! You’re a good man!

Anyway, as always, I can’t stress enough that we’re not asking for anything other than to PLEASE throw some positive energy out into the Universe for all the good guys! That’s all we need at this point! The day will come when we’re officially set up as a 501c3 and I can sell you some over priced shirts or something to support the cause, but for now the only support we need is POSITIVE ENERGY! Make sure you you throw out a little extra for yourself!

Also, if you subscribe to the blog you will get an update next June regarding the FreeBrownFood.com Celebrity Scramble! We’ve had some major celebrities come out in previous years! Actually, that’s not totally true but it definitely is fun! It’s a 2 man scramble and you can pick another twosome to play with! That way you’re playing with your friends! If you are like me, and most of your friends are idiots so you don’t want to golf with them just let me know and we’ll hook you up with another twosome! All their friends must be idiots too so you’ll have something in common! It’s at Cedar Glen and will be Saturday, July 1st. Next year will be our third year and my plan is to have this every Saturday of 4th of July weekend for many years to come!

As you can see, I don’t post very often so you don’t need to be worried about getting inundated with emails or anything!

Hey everyone! We’re still cookin, or at least simmerin’!

Holy ham and cheese! I can’t believe its been over a year since I posted anything but lots has been happening! I’ve purposely been keeping a bit quiet because I STILL don’t have us set up as a 501c3, but I’m really hoping to have that in place in the next few months! I had planned on doing that last year, but lots of crazy things happened that got in the way! I know…Blah, blah, blah, excuses, excuses!

However, I’ve still been a busy boy! I mentioned previously that I was collecting cans and I had a lot of great people step up and help a brother out! An extremely heartfelt THANK YOU to my friend Chris Ball and the great folks over at BW Retail Solutions and their numerous contributions of cans! Its great people like Chris and the good folks around him that make the world a better place. People like Chris make it possible for people like me to try and make a difference. We’re making a difference Chris and I can’t thank you enough! You’re a great man!

We also had a little golf outing over the summer called the FreeBrownFood.com Celebrity Scramble at Cedar Glen Golf course in New Baltimore! We had a great turnout and had a lot of fun! As I mentioned, I purposely tried to keep things a bit low key until I have all my chickens in a row, but this year we’re going big time! This year it will most likely be held Saturday July 2nd so mark your calendars! Definitely more to follow on that!

Since the beginning of this all I was asking for was for people to throw out some positive energy into the Universe for us, and maybe a few cans. I know I’ve gotten a lot of cans and apparently a TON of positive energy because just before the Holidays I was able to donate $9,000.00 to a shelter here in my neck of the woods!

That’s right! $9,000.00! That literally buys TONS of brown food!

HOORAY for all of us!

Hey everyone! I can’t believe its been 6 months since my last post! I hope everyone is fantastic and making through this rotten “Vid” that we have been dealing with for way to long now!

So I started a very small can drive a couple months back. I didn’t want it to get out of control so I only reached out to a few people and it still got out of control! The support that I have gotten from everyone on my little project has been EXTREMELY humbling to say the least! I need to specifically shout out to my hot Anchor Bay girls, who always have my back not matter what I’m up to! Friends and neighbors (c’mon Treppa!) have been dropping off cans and bottles for a while now and even folks in my golf league have been bringing cans to golf with them and I take them home with me!

I also wanted to give my most sincere “thank you” to my friend Chris and his fantastic and extremely generous team over at BWRETAIL Solutions! They actually held a can drive themselves for the past 2 months and donated all the cans to FreeBrownFood.com! I don’t even know what to say to that! Its people like Chris that make this world a better place! He not only did what he could to support my cause, but he rallied his troops to make an even bigger impact! As I said, the support I have gotten from so many people has been extremely humbling.

The reason I’m updating this blog today is that I just got back from the store where I turned in my 15,000th can! Considering I can only cash in $25 at a time, that’s roughly 60 trips to the grocery store! Because of the generosity of so many fantastic people I’ve turned in enough cans to literally buy TONS of food! Actually I should say “we” turned in…Thanks Jackson! I owe you one brother!

I still have about 4,000 more cans stacked up in the garage that need to be taken back. but for now I’ve collected enough to move on to the next phase on my little plan…

Phase II is volunteering at local dog shelters on the weekends and dropping off some FreeBrownFood every week to those who need some! I should have enough loot now to get me through the fall and winter months so I can do weekly food donations along with volunteering!

Now things start getting fun!

I know it sounds crazy but some rubber bracelets sure seems to make things a bit more legit! They came in yesterday and they’re fantastic! I’ve got one for EVERYBODY! All you need to do is let me know you want one and I’ll figure out how to get it to you! As I mentioned before, all I want from anyone at this point is their support! Throw us some positive energy and I guarantee we’ll parlay that energy into even more energy and we’ll be unstoppable!

Friday I’m going to start spreading the word and I hope everyone is as excited as I am!

Alright we’re almost ready! I’ve been working on this website, with my lovely daughter Allie, and my son Jackson for a few days now and I think we’ve got a solid foundation! The first of my “swag” is due in tomorrow and the website launches this Friday! Oh, we’re rolling alright!

I wanted to take a quick minute and thank my family for all the support!

Jane, Allie and Jackson I can’t thank you all enough for your everything! I came to you guys a little more than a week ago with an idea and with all of your support here we are 10 days later and we’re well on our way!

I’d also like to thank my friend Olive and my very old friend CJ for being my inspiration! The love I received from you guys has undoubtedly made me a better person!

This is going to be a HUGE undertaking for me and without the support of my family and all of YOU, I’ll never make it! I don’t necessarily need anyone to do anything other than support and believe in me and the cause! Throw some positive energy out in the Universe for us and I’ll catch it and run with it from there! That’s all I need for now!
